Get ready for a relaxed evening of conversation, connection, and community. The Tribe Network brings together self-employed women, freelancers, business owners, and side-hustlers to meet, share ideas, and support each other.

This month I'm thrilled to welcome Ruth Freestone, who has founded Root-ed Accounting, a judgement free accountancy practise supporting women-led and service-based businesses. She specialises in helping founders feel confident and empowered with their numbers, particuarly those carry shame or overwhelm around money. Ruth's work blends practical financial clarity with a supportive, human appraoch, helping women build sustainable businesses on their own terms. Ruth will be breaking down Making Tax Digital for Income Tax (MTD for ITSA) in a clear, human and jargon free way, covering:

• What MTD for Income Tax actually is (and what it isn’t)

• Who it will apply to and realistic timelines

• What will change day-to-day in terms of reporting and software

• The most common worries and misconceptions I hear from women in business

Gentle, practical steps attendees can take now without panic or pressure.

Rather than a technical lecture, this will be a calm, supportive conversation designed to demystify the changes and put members back in control of their numbers.

The aim is to leave feeling reassured, empowered and less alone with a clearer relationship with their numbers and the confidence to make braver business decisions. But this isn’t just a talk — the evening is all about meeting other women, exchanging ideas, and building real connections. Evening at a glance:
